As the Directive (EU) 2022/2555 (NIS2) reaches full legal maturity, the European cybersecurity landscape faces a critical test: harmonization versus fragmentation. While NIS2 aimed to establish a uniform baseline for digital resilience across the Single Market, individual EU Member States have transposed the directive through varying national frameworks, creating a complex compliance “patchwork” for organizations operating cross-border.
This session offers an in-depth, comparative analysis of how key EU jurisdictions have implemented NIS2. We will look beyond the text of the directive to examine real-world national divergences, from the designation of national competent authorities to local enforcement strategies. Attendees will gain a clear overview of how different Member States are handling critical scope definitions, incident reporting workflows, and executive liability.
Why you should attend?
By attending this seminar, participants will:
- Map the Transposition Landscape: Understand the state of NIS2 adoption across major EU jurisdictions, identifying which countries have taken a strict approach (“gold-plating”) versus a minimal baseline implementation.
- Identify Governance & Enforcement Risks: Compare national approaches to competent authorities (e.g., ACN in Italy, ANSSI in France, BSI in Germany), supervisor inspection models, and local penalty enforcement mechanisms.
Who should attend?
This seminar is designed for professionals navigating cross-border cybersecurity regulations and EU compliance:
- Legal Practitioners & In-House Counsel:Attorneys, regulatory affairs specialists, and privacy officers dealing with EU tech and data protection law.
- CISOs & Chief Risk Officers (CROs): Executives responsible for operationalizing NIS2 standards across multi-jurisdictional IT infrastructures.
- Compliance & DPOs: Compliance managers ensuring multi-entity adherence to NIS2, GDPR, and DORA requirements.
- Cybersecurity Consultants & Auditors: Advisors helping client organizations navigate national regulatory readiness and risk assessments.
- Public Policy Professionals: Analysts and policy experts monitoring EU digital policy, sovereignty, and administrative law development.
