DETANGLE took part in the IEEE International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience (CSR) 2026, held in Lisbon, Portugal from 3 to 5 August, within the scope of the CyberShield workshop – “Shield Techniques for Cybersecurity Innovation and Resilience” – co-organised by consortium partner UBITECH.

The workshop brought together EU-funded projects working on cybersecurity resilience and defence, and gave DETANGLE the opportunity to present preliminary technical developments, exchange insights with peer initiatives, and explore synergies with related research.

A central outcome was the presentation of research associated with DETANGLE’s technical developments, through UBITECH’s paper “Multi-Agent System for Automated Red Teaming Workflows: Methodology and Architecture,” authored by Ioannis Pastellas, Sophia Karagiorgou, and Evangelos Kafantaris. The paper was presented during the workshop’s technical session on 3 August.

Beyond the presentation itself, the workshop was a chance to explore synergies with other projects working in adjacent areas, including SONIC, SecQDevOps, and APPTake, and to reach a wider scientific audience with DETANGLE’s objectives and current progress.

Events like CyberShield matter for a project like DETANGLE precisely because compliance tools don’t develop in a vacuum – they benefit from being tested against, and connected to, the wider research community working on the same underlying problems of cybersecurity resilience and defence.
